STrange and Funny!

The electrical system in the hallway including the elevator went off last Saturday night. It was a bit scary to walk through the dark corridor and go down the stairs with a flashlight for 2 days. It came up today. I pictured myself trapped in some war zone :)!
I am going home for a long weekend and I should meet the new client this Friday. I hope things will work out. We shall see…

WeLL, WEll, WeLl!

I’ve made public my decision to go back to Paris. My boss in Paris will try to keep me and will set me up for another position with Schneider in Ruel-Malmaison. It’s not far from where I live.
The salary is lower but I’ll be home so it won’t cost me as much. Also it will help my parents a bit for rent.
Strategically it is better for me also to be there. I’ll keep looking around for a better position.
Nothing is certain yet but I am willing to go to an agreement with my boss to quit the job no matter what.
I cannot wait to finish here.

PrEparing FoR The Return!
I told my boss last week, that I have to go back home for personal reasons, my dad being sick. It was a smart move because It implied that I had to go back and leave my current job without saying I wanted to leave the company. There are more opportunities in Paris and with my current experience I can surely get a better position or at least a better paid job.
I just do not see any good opportunities or any evolution in Grenoble. Staying here too long is not good! Anyways, I have started an irreversible process that ultimately will end somehow in Paris.

Let’s see how long it will take me. I am determined to go elsewhere. Preferably back to Paris.

Must-have for Singles!

Here is my list for people who, like me, still cook to save money:
1. Cooking bags: Alba. Freaking useful for people who don’t want to clean after using the oven. Just add everything in the bag and let it do the magic inside the oven. Perfect cooking and no cleaning or very little. The must is the juice trapped inside the bag at the end.
2. Plastic utensils. All in the trash at the end… It’s perfect!
3. Already prepared bags of spice for different type of meals. I am loving these. They offer a variety of meals to taste without having to buy all the spice that are required. Just add the meat shake it up and there you go.
I also buy ready-to-cook meals that are about to expire. They usually cut the price by half and they are perfect for me. Since I live in the city center, I spend a bit more on food but save on transportation. I am using the store as a fridge.

Alors Coura, comment va la vie en Angleterre? (je ve voir ton lien youtube)
I did delete my last post because it was badly written and it did not express what I really wanted so here is a summary:
1. I am doing fine at work and I’ve had lots of compliments
2. Sadly it was with a person I do not like
3. I do not really care since I am working hard to leave Grenoble and to go back to Paris.
I am having an interview this Friday and I had one last week. I am keeping my fingers crossed concerning a possible positive answer. I want to break my contract which is a “CDI chantier”. It has flows since it did not mention the end of the mission. So it is either a CDD or a CDI. Either ways I should be able to break it any time.

I can save then between 700 and 800 euros per month. I think I can save more if I control better my food/fun/personnal expenses. My colleagues at work could not save that much. They told me they have maybe at most 200 euros or nothing left at the end of the month.

Belgian Fun!
I was so busy the last 2 weeks with work and WoW that I didn’t have time to upload these pictures of my trip in Belgium. I also took so many pictures that it is hard to sort them out quickly and share them. Anyways here they are:

It has been 10 years or so that I have eaten such a nice crab soup. My little cousins caught most of them. I did a pretty good job in the end. What I miss really is these old times when we were all together. It was really hard back then financially speaking but it remains old good memories. I know we won’t have every one of us all again in one photo… we all have our life now. So I try hard to take and keep as many pictures of us as possible when we are all together again.
