I called yesterday the 3rd internet company to inquire about the progress of my internet activation (Bouygues). Nobody could find my online application. I will just use the 3G+ until I leave. I really did not think that a brand new studio would be so complicated.
Conclusion: look for a better place to buy and move on quickly!

UnExpected!

So I turned my warnings into actions:
1. I stopped paying the rent + the charges all together.
2. I sent the letter with all the problems to the agency and demanded the full listing of real charges.
There have been heated exchanges between me and the owner of the studio (I threw him out of his studio). So I found myself in a complicated triangle situation that might turn out to be good. Indeed, to force me to pay the rent, the collective of owners will have to explain why they are suing the agency. It seems indeed that many owners are unhappy with the construction of their place.

LiTtle AnnoYing Things!

I had a nice quiet weekend since I accepted my internet condition. I played WoW. I organized 3 raids, failed 2 and passed 1. I think the tanks were just bad and did not understand the strategy. Anyways, the important thing is I played.
The studio I live in seems to have many problems. They are not that vital but they do annoy:
1. The garage door is stuck, I need to push it manually to open it.
2. The heater in the bathroom is making noises randomly. It seems to stop now but I usually stopped it before bedtime.
3. There is no maintenance, the trash and the common areas are left to residents to do whatever they can. The owners are in conflict with the contractor
I just wrote a formal letter listing all problems and asked not to pay for any maintenance charges as long as the problem remains. What is important is that they do recognize the problems and someone is putting pressure on them to fix things. It has been a month now and if I keep on paying normally, things will not be fixed anytime soon.

I am glad it’s here already. Tired from last week work and stupid stress. Relax Relax Relax. I organized a WoW Raid tonight. Let’s see how it goes. I might want to organize two more during the weekend.
Looks like that the USB H+ Key has been delivered. I hope it does not need my signature, otherwise I have to go and pick it up tomorrow at the post office. I will leave the office early today. I am alone on the floor! My boss is gone and my 2 colleagues are on sick leave.
I love it when there is nobody around on Friday. I do not have to make up excuses to leave at 4 pm. I will leave at 3 pm 🙂 today.

ExHauSted!

All these little problems have drained all my mental energy. I do not want to get into another everyday life drama for the rest of the month. I will focus on my routine and enjoy my every day life as it comes. I am trying to organize a raid in WoW during the weekend and I had to read the strategy from A to Z. It is funny how little things have escaped the groups I joined and how things are really clearer now!
Nobody wants to read the strategy … it is indeed a game! not work! But if you want to succeed you still need to read… no escape.

So a representative from Bouygues just called me to make an appointment to activate my internet. They will schedule a time with Orange to activate the lane meaning BACK to where I was! Isn’t it ironic?
Anyways, the temporary solution with Bouygues 3G is very acceptable. It is, of course, expensive if I want to download some illegal stuffs. I immediately ordered a pay-as-you go deal with Bouygues for tablets: 5 Gb on a non-binding contract for 24.90 euros with USB key (H+). It is the cheapest deal, I’ve found so far besides the fact that it is the only one that is working for me.
So in the end, it is meant to be this way! I should just relax now.

and I Breathe AgAin!

I finally found a 3G provider that has a good coverage where I live: Bouygues. Perfect speed! I really have the impression I can breathe again after a month of slow, unstable internet through SFR. Geez! let’s keep fingers crossed and hopefully they have some spare connections left for me in da street! At worse, I just get a full mobile/internet plan with them through 3G. Let see what they will say next week first.
I am really excited about the internet speed back to normal. It is a bit expensive on 3G though. Such a relief! Just in case, I really cannot have a fixed phone line connection. I thought about satellite connection.

The UnThinkable!

So after struggling with SFR and Orange, I got the final answer: the physical box that shares all internet connections in my street is saturated so they need to build a new one (no estimate of time….:(). I canceled both contracts and tried to take one with Bouygues hoping that they still have some connections left, indeed each provider has a quota of physical connections assigned and my lucky neighbor next door has internet with Bouygues. Wait and See….
I am using my SFR 3G but it is unstable and slow and I have no coverage here with Orange that has a nice offer at the moment. If Bouygues cannot help me, I might look into satellite connection.
