4G+

I checked regularly on the Web for a good 4G internet deal: cheap and unlimited. I found out that the 4G+ will soon be available with Bouygues for the same price and it is twice as fast! GREAT!
The internet speed at my home is not as nice as I would like it to be, therefore 4G+ would be a very powerful technology available right at my door!

I had the “Caïd” family and the “Adams” family. I also have the “Black”, the “Inseparables” and the “Hunchback”

The “Black” is a black dude. He is wearing a black leather jacket, a black hat, black glasses and he is circling around the building regularly as if he has some business going on. I do not know what his business is about but I would bet the same business as the “caid” but at a lower level. He might just be a regular consumer.

The “Inseparables” are two friends. They are both fans of motorcycles. One is married, has a small baby and his family lives in Building B, the other must single and he is skinny. The skinny one comes everyday for dinner at 5:30 pm and he leaves around 10 pm. The married one is accompanying him out. They look like old best mates! The same ritual everyday.

The “Hunchback” is the most remarkable one. He is a black dude who runs like a “hunchback”. Really really weird! I wonder if he has some physical deformation. He has headphones while running and his hands are dangling down as if they have no muscles.

I noticed 3 TV boxes since I bought mine and exposed it on my wall. It was after the famous “sales” period in France so I wonder if it was because they saw my TV and wanted to get one as well. I also noticed few boxes of computers. It might be too much to extrapolate that I had some influence on people’s life in the building.

At the age of 38 my little list:

1. A diploma
2. A job
3. A studio
4. A car
5. Few electronic gadgets
6. Tons of high quality pictures
7. Some 6K Euros of cash in the bank!

More importantly, a lot of time to play games and to buy cool electronic gadgets whenever I want! I prefer reading about them though! I forgot to mention the regular running and biking. I look over my shoulders towards my sister’s side to see what I really miss for not having a family. Adeline looks nice and what not. However the little cute thing will grow into a lot of family drama. My sister would bet she won’t have any with her own daughter but we shall see. My own 20 years of drama and the memory of it cut short any desire to lean towards that direction.
My only goal now is to find a way to end this life nicely because I owe the little kid I was some success stories he dreamed of that I need to achieve. Yea … That little kid was a little cute thing too back then!

My studio is on the first floor and it is facing the garage door as well as the whole “boulevard” that is in front of my building. I like its location very much. It allows me to have a direct view to everything that is happening in front of the building. People have a rear view to my “wall”. I do not mind. Few people started to realize that I am an internet “freak”. I started to receive questions about internet, printer, etc …. I do not mind if it is a technical question but I refuse to help people opening the front door or the garage door.

Most people living here are quite poor, I noticed one black dude who works as a dustman (“éboueur”), one girl is a security guard at the airport, one dude works also at the airport and he is taking care of luggages, one dude is a security guard at night. They have a hard life.

I work with people who are at least 10 years older and they all have kids. Some of their kids are 10 years younger than me. It is very funny to hear these mothers in their 50’s complaining about their loved “monsters”:

1. A 19 years old boy, who barely made it at school, is a geek!
2. A 30 years old boy (failed at school, no job and on a state pension, RSA) is also a geek!
3. A 16 years old girl, who failed at school, spends all her time out with her BF.

All these mothers dream about one thing: that their loved “monsters” would leave home and have a job. They are not too sure how that will happen though. One of the mother admitted one day that she had 3 kids because she did not want to find a job. Maybe it explains why these kids are a burden now.

I had a strange dream! I tried to run up Mt-Cootha from my apartment in St Lucia, Brisbane, but I forgot the route to get there. I ran up this little hill everyday during 1 full year in Australia. It bothered me so much that I had to find my old address in Australia and all the streets from my place to Mt-Cootha.

Thanks to Google map, I will sleep in peace tonight!

My brother and my parents signed an agreement to buy this 3-rooms apartment, 200 k. I think it is good for all the following reasons:

1. No more loss in rent: 800 *12 = 9 600 Euros / year
2. Age limit for my brother.
3. The only deal that requires a permanent contract: CDI
4. Help from the government for new investors in housing (PTZ+)
5. Decent interest rates: ~2.7
