FoOd foR ThOUghts!

My neighbors rewarded me with food for my help. I got chicken wings yesterday from Malika and today I had a sweet desert(Chè) from Diep, my Vietnamese neighbor.
I helped Malika with her heater and her computer and I created a blog and taught Diep how to use it. Diep is moving out soon and I wish my parents are more like him. He is hardly younger (60 years old) but he is very bright and extremely technical in everything he does. When he gives an answer, it is very clear and detailed. I would not have guessed that level of technicality from him when he moved in the building.
People have access to so much information thanks to the Internet but they are too lazy to use it. All they like to do is use Facebook to look at other people!

I went to the ophthalmologist to get a new prescription for contact lenses. I showed him the old prescription I used to buy my new glasses on January 2015. After measuring the lenses, he said: “very strange …The left lens had 1 degree less compared to the prescription (meaning -1 instead of -2)”
I was like “DuH?!?!? Can you double check?”
He checked my eyes and compared his results to previous years’ prescriptions (2 years). He said that I had no astigmatism or very very little; My right eye just needs more time to adjust.
When he put on his own corrections … it was almost near perfection!
I am going back tomorrow to the optician, the one who delivered my new glasses and I will kick his ass! I will stick to this weird but extremely good doctor.

aNother oNe!

A zit inside my right eyebrow disappeared this morning. It burst out by itself. I was really annoyed by this tiny thing over a full year. It was tiny and invisible but why was it there for so long? A doctor tried to give me some antibotics to remove it unsuccessfully because it was under the layer of the inside of the eye.
I was planning on getting it removed by the ophthalmologist on April 27. Good that it is now gone! goooooooooone!

a YeAr Old MiStery!

I could not figured out why my pretty 4K TV is playing sound on both of the internal and external speakers. Few days ago, I noticed a buzzing sound coming from the external speakers. I only wanted to hear the sound from the external speakers since they are a 5-surround system speaker with a kick ass subwoofer for the bass.
The answer was found today only, a full year after I bought the TV … The sound cord was simply just not fully plugged in. Therefore the sound was divided between the 2 speakers hence the buzzing sound also. I am glad I figured it out because it was annoying me for a while now.

nIcE lUNch!

It was very enjoyable having lunch with my cousin, Diane and my sister, Anne. I was a bit surprised that my sister was not bigger since she was only 3 months away from giving birth. We talked about everything and nothing specifically. We are different but we are much more open-minded than our parents. Of course, life is very different for each of us, but, all in all, it is not as hard nor as bad as it was for our parents. We cannot change any of us anyways. The simple fact to talk about different ideas or views might change us a little bit unconsciously but it is not the same type of changes that our parents would try to impose upon their kids.
It is of course funny to know that they all think that I am naturally depressed with obsessive and compulsive behaviors and that I also have suicidal thoughts. It is very true however I also have a very strong survival instinct.
I am feeling much more relaxed and happier after lunch somehow.
I have been running 7 kms/day last week. I am still far from my old level but for a 39-years-old fart, I am not doing too bad!

In one single day, I joined and quit a stupid group on facebook.
I am really not a facebook person. It has the social feature I hate most: a bunch of losers with 2-3 big mouths and tons of sheeps.
Not to mention the ugly low quality pictures of people in “selfies” mode….very disturbing!

Time flew so quickly on Saturday 04 April. I had a meeting with Aurore, my long time friend for lunch in Paris 13th. By the time, I came back it was already 16:00 and I went shopping. When I returned home it was 18:30. The whole day has gone so quickly.

My Toyota Yaris underwent a check up at the Toyota workshop. It seems that the air flow intake system was defective for many Yaris built in 2009. Anyways, Toyota will replace many things in my car on Monday 27 April for free. They even detected the cause of a small noise in my car and they will try to fix it also. I told them about the electrical shortcut.
I am very happy that they will replace so many things for free 🙂 It would cost me a fortune!!!
Many minor things also got fixed in my building:
1. The noises caused by doors’ clapping
2. The cleaning of green areas
