soMedAy bUt noT ToDAy!

My neighbors kept on asking me the same questions over and over:”Where should I go? Who should I talk to?” and I gave the same answer: “Go to the internet, you should be able to do everything online (form, registration, email, …)”
Then they looked at me perplexed. I usually showed them on my screens and they nodded happily. Each time, I have a little smile on my face asking myself if he/she would be able to reproduce what I just showed them.
Maybe someday, one of them will manage to access the internet and retrieve the information but … not today!
One of them managed to get the “2 Euros/month internet deal”. It made my day when he told me! He was quite helpful because he has a special paste to kill the bugs.

I almost made a costly mistake while switching to a new car insurance. The cheapest company was useless and it kept on annoying me with justifications from my previous insurances. I immediately canceled and, luckily for me, I sent them a check but I forgot to sign the check. I was so happy to make such a mistake which was quite rare!

I bought the Iphone 6S 128 Gb for several reasons:
1. I need a new toy to play with and my Iphone 4S is getting outdated
2. I wanted something that has 4G LTE Advanced (300 Mbit/50 Mbit – Dl/Up)
3. I had 159 Euros in gift cards to spend from my ex-company 🙂
4. Just after Christmas, the store added a nice commercial offer: 10 % back in coupons (= 90 Euros)
The Iphone 6S 128 Gb cost me only 700 Euros in cash so it was a really good deal! I doubt anyone gets a better deal at the moment for such gadget!
I just noticed that the bluetooth hands-free kit in my car worked again. I am not sure if it was due to the fact that I cracked my old Iphone 4S that it was screwed up for a while. I could not crack this Iphone 6S yet, I will have to wait for the release of the program in few weeks.
I am really happy with this new expensive Iphone 6S.

I bought a tiny box of this caviar that was on sale to taste the “real caviar”, it was not bad but it was not exceptional compared to the cheaper ones. It was however a very tiny portion!

I am tempted to buy a new Iphone 6S 64 GB. I kept on checking for a good deal because, usually after Christmas, there are good deals. However Apple gadgets tend to keep a pretty good price trend over the years.

tHe OlD mAn!

I was quietly enjoying my Christmas time playing WoW, watching “Bridge of Spies” (excellent movie), and having a bottle of a very expensive champagne (Moët) when this old man in the building stopped by at 23:15 to give me a bottle of whisky.
I helped this man with his Iphone 4S by updating all his programs. He was very happy. I told him that he does not need to buy a new phone for few more years because he bought a mediocre Samsung to replace this one. Apple is quite good at keeping their softwares backward-compatible. He was so used to his Iphone 4S that he was very happy to hear me saying that. I also told him to remove the ugly broken-hard cover on his Iphone 4S and it looked perfectly new.
Old people do not like new gadgets and they just want to keep the same things as long as they work!

It will be soon 2 years that I moved in this new building. Things were getting better after a year of struggling with all companies involved. Most people living in the building came and asked me first when they had a problem. It was a side effect I did not really want but, at least, they did not try to fix something on their own creating more problems.
If I cannot help people or do it myself in 10 min, I just told them how and where they could find the solution. Usually, they give up because they just want a quick solution to their problems.
I made the mistake of giving my opinion to a long time friend about her family problem a month or two ago and I have not heard from her again. I really should not try to give my opinion to anyone.
I am good with technology and I am pragmatic when it comes to fix a problem. I am not very good at giving advice.
