It’s getting cold here and I must have lost some of my thermal clothes, luckily I found new ones relatively cheap: 5 euros each. The old ones I had were no longer as comfy and warm, they probably lost their thermal properties after few years of washing.

Now that all minor problems are behind me or, at least, should be, let’s fix the last one: find me a job!
I learned few things about renting my own studio:
- It is very easy, cheap and fast if you do it yourself: 1 week
- The rental agencies are very expensive and slow
- The rental agencies’ main effort is to get people to PAY them first
- The best candidate will require to see the apartment before the final signature. It is the only constraint.
- You can download everything online (contract, insurance, paperwork, etc ..)

I took Indi, my sis’ dog, out for a run/walk .. 5 kms! Everybody looked at him and said that he was pretty. Indi was quite shy and he was afraid of any noise. I did not run much and I walked as soon as he stopped.
I saw a young white woman firmly lifted and taken by the security to the security room at the mall. She kept on screaming: “you hurt me”. I really do not enjoy being the witness of these scenes.

Today the best candidate for my apartment will come and check it out before signing all the paperwork.
I am hoping that the candidate will not change his mind. It was quite a painful learning experience. I could see how useless and slow the agencies were and how I could do everything on my own quite easily.

I was about to get out of the bus when I heard this asian women’s little screams. The bus controlers were checking out the bus tickets and passes and the little asian lady obviously did not have and she would have to pay a fine.

As soon as my ad went online last Friday, I have received tons of emails and phone calls and weird propsotions. One old lady (60 years old) offered to pay 6 months in advance, a dude with a kid and a wife, and more weird messages:
“I desperately need an apartment, please help!”
The african style ” Me need you apartment”
Needless to say that I never answered to these! In the end, one perfect application.
